Bless me David Lee, for I have sinned. It has been probably 6 or 7 years since I last played my "Diver Down" CD. David, I promise that I will have NO other lead singer before or AFTER you, and that I will steadfastly maintain my firm conviction that Van Halen, in the words of my older son, "Totally Blew Monkey Balls" after you left and the-other-who-shall-not-be-named attempted to usurp your spot.
I shall never fail to say "How high?" when listening to "Jump," and I totally forgive you for the sins of wearing spandex and leather pants after 40 in your later tours.
However, I am nothing, if not human. I confess that I totally jammed out to "Right Now" on the way to work last night.
I am SO going to hell.

Fairly confident I shall be joining you in Hell. We'll have a great party!!!!
roflmao! Van Halen rocks ;) 'Why Can't This Be Love' just might be one of the best songs of all time!
Caity: Amen, Sistah!
Bluebolt: I'll bring the lemon bars!
Daydreamer: AAAACK!! Ix-nay on the Agar-hay references! DLR might be reading...LOL
funny, i was listening to Charles Laquidara on WBOS this morning, and he played Panama. Made me remember how much I loved the Van Halen configuration with Roth...and how much I didn't like them with the other guys.
You are a stronger woman than I. I dont think I could ever forgive anyone who wore skintight leather pants.. over 40 or not. here from micheles
DLR didn't take the whole "Rock God" thing seriously in his delivery of the songs and I enjoyed that viewpoint so much. The innate sense of parody was refreshing. Too bad in his real life he totally fell for his image. LOL
I love my first 3 albums of Van Halen.
