A Good Deal

Notice: I do NOT sell Fiestaware, am not affiliated with anyone who sells it, nor will I get a discount or kickback of any kind for this post today; just a VERY happy and satisfied customer.

A few months back, I bought 8 4-piece place settings of Fiestaware from a seconds dealer for $130. If you know Fiestaware, then you know that this is an incredible price. I asked them to mix up the colors and we got a very nice selection with almost NO repeats. These are seconds, and the worst issue I had with them is little pinpoint "divots" here and there under the glaze...not a big deal. These dishes are very heavy and unbelievably durable and you can also request a single color set. So, anyway, I got a little email today telling of another big deal they were having, so I went over and immediately got a whole buttload more of it. They are selling sets of 8 dinner plates for $25.50!!!! They also have mugs, bowls and salad plates as well. I bought the dinner and salad plates and some more bowls, since these are what we run out of, mostly. The prices would come out to about $105 for 8 place settings. The colors available for the deal are shown below..I X-ed out the ones that are not available. For the record, I don't use the mugs that came with the place settings...they are too small for the kind of coffee drinker I am. I already had some huge cobalt mugs that I got last year for christmas, and I love to use those. I like having assorted colors...they look beautiful on the shelves, and the kids have a blast picking out different ones. I'd have to say that the family favorites are the cinnabar and cobalt.

(Cinnabar, Cobalt, Periwinkle, Tangerine, Sunflower, Plum, Shamrock, Persimmon, Scarlet)

If you were ever thinking of upgrading your everyday dishes, but were maybe worried about little kids, this would be your best bet. Even with my "ballerinas", we have only managed to lose one salad plate (dropped into our cast iron sink, what're ya gonna do?) and that is a pretty good track record, here; considering that we managed to blow through 2 sets of Pfaltzgraff like they were made of fricking eggshells in QUITE short order, before this.

I am going to include 2 different links...if one doesn't work, try the other; if neither works, just go to the website Feistydishes , or email me and I will send you the direct link. I will try it myself after I post.

Wow, that's cool! Good luck with the potential youngun. :)

I have the turquoise-colored Fiestaware, which has been discontinued for awhile. I too adore Fiestaware. Thanks for the tip.

Makes me wish I had some dinero--cause I positively HATE my inherited-from-my-in-laws dishes. And the suckers are UNBREAKABLE, argh! Over 10 years of very heavy use and we've not lost one piece of the frigging twelve 4-pc place settings (why no, I never would have dropped any of them on purpose...not that it matters, since they are apparently made of some alien polymer...). Ugh.

Then again, the reason my MIL got rid of these was to get Fiestaware...I'm not sure I could handle the association... :P
