Sleepless in Massachusetts

Well, I guess we got our payback for our first being such a good baby when we got her. Poor Luca has severe separation anxiety as well as an ultrasonic high pitched whine...couple the two, and Nobuddy gets no sleep :( So, I've been downstairs in the living room with him since 2am. He's a love, he really is. The girl we got him from said that he wouldn't ever go on her bed, but when he saw Kai jumping up, he went right on up and settled himself down like he owned the place. Kai is a mite bit jealous, so every time he moved or got a little cranky, she'd start growling and go over and intimidate him...we went through about 15 minutes of this before I decided I'd better take him back downstairs and try the crate thing with him again. He is finally settled down, but every time I move or (God forbid!) leave the ROOM he gets a bit whiney.

But, at least he has a guardian Angel!

Hopefully he'll settle in and feel at home soon. It nearly always takes a little while. He's really gorgeous!

you know, that night I was also not able to sleep, but mine was because of a howling kitten in the bathroom. Eeek.

Congrats on your new furry child! Hope he settles in ok.
